Here is a preview of the sixth night of G1 Climax 30, the annual two-block round-robin heavyweight tournament in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. In recent years, the G1 has featured a flurry of ultra high-end matches.

The star ratings are from highly respected journalist Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON). The number next to it is the cagematch.net (CM) score for the match as of last check before publication.

1) Hirooki Goto vs. Tetsuya Naito

Their singles match record is 4-4, but Naito has won four in a row over Goto. Naito leads Goto 3-2 in G1 matches.

Tanahashi won their lone previous singles match in the 2018 New Japan Cup. This will be their first meeting in the G1.

4) KENTA vs. Zack Sabre Jr.

The series is tied 1-1. KENTA beat Sabre during a UK tour by Pro Wrestling NOAH in 2011. Sabre beat KENTA in their lone previous G1 match, which took place last year at the Budokan.
